Bahia Asuncion is one of the fishing and surfing meccas of Southern Baja. The municipality is situated right at the point where the Northern Pacific and Southern Pacific currents converge. The sea life varies with the currents.
Directly in front of the house is a large reef filled with baitfish and is a popular spot for surf fishing. It is also a popular feeding spot for grey whales, Orcas, and much other larger fish. There are fish boils on a daily basis.
During grey whale migration season, you can witness them frolicking from the house’s front porch!
The house is situated on the cooler side of town which is home to the trade winds (great for kite-boarding) and larger waves for surfing,
The southern end of town has a flat, lake-like shore great for launching kayaks, SUP’s.
